Seville St Augustine Grass Plugs produce a lawn that has the ability to grow in areas of little sunlight. Seville St Augustine grass is a semi-dwarf grass used throughout the southeastern United States. Seville has an excellent horizontal compact growth due to its semi-dwarf composition, and requires less mowing than most grasses.
While Seville St Augustine grass is one of the highest ranked shade-tolerant St. Augustine grasses, it also grows well in full sunlight. Seville St Augustine Grass Plugs will prove their worth when those cold snaps come along because it has an excellent tolerance to cold weather and requires only moderate amounts of fertilizer when warm weather returns.
Seville St. Augustine is Blue green in color with excellent color retention.

Soil, Climate And Fertility Requirements
Seville St Augustine grass is considered one of the most shade tolerant turf grass among the St Augustine grasses. It can tolerate wide pH ranges, from the acidic soils often found inland to the high pH soils of the coastal areas. Because Seville can tolerate and persist in areas within a lawn with only 6 to 7 hours of sunlight, it is considered a favorite choice among landscapers for lawns with moderate shade.
Fertility - Perform a soil analysis for best results. St. Augustine grows quite well with a starter fertilizer or organic compost added into the soil at the time of planting and
fertilization monthly until fully established. Newly planted grass needs more phosphorous than nitrogen to begin with. In fact it is recommended to take it easy on the Nitrogen when
growing St. Augustine grass.
Generally Seville requires 3-4 fertilizer applications/year - spring, summer and fall. Make routine observations and fertilize according to what the landscape indicates. Understand what
and how much fertilizer you are applying. Avoid disease and insect inducing growth flushes by reducing Nitrogen rates. Improve color and limit growth surges, especially in summer, by
utilizing Iron sources. Higher Nitrogen rates should only be applied in the spring, for injury recovery, or for planned
