Mow Less Tall Fescue Grass Seed is a blend of the latest generation of dwarf tall fescues. Mow-Less is composed of three to four low growing, turf type Tall Fescue Grass varieties. The components of Mow Less all contribute dark blue-green color, heat, drought, shade and insect tolerance... naturally! Mow-Less has made inroads into areas where tall fescue has not traditionally been adapted.
Natural insect and disease resistance in this Dwarf Tall Fescue Seed Blend reduces or eliminates the need to use chemicals, add that to less mowing and you have a very Eco-Friendly lawn!

Uses and Features For Mow Less Tall Fescue Seed Blend
Mow-Less is blended to become a versatile, sturdy turf ideally suited for sod production, home lawns, athletic fields, parks, golf course roughs, industrial campuses, roadside enhancement, airstrips and campsites.
Tall fescue, when mixed with 5% improved Kentucky bluegrass makes a luxurious turf for sod production and home lawns.
Mow-Less appears to be ideal for golf tees where it will stand the low cut and repair divots without reseeding. The components of Mow-Less have done very well at Hubbard, Oregon for several years when mowed at 3/8".
Areas of Adaptation For Mow Less Tall Fescue Grass
Mow Less is a dwarf tall fescue seed blend that grows well in the dry arid climate of the western USA. Mow less also performs well in the areas of the Pacific Northwest that require a durable, heat and drought tolerant turf. Mow less will perform well in the cool wet winters of the Pacific Northwest. Mow Less will grow in full sun to moderate shady areas.
Climate and Fertilization Requirements For Mow Less
Mow less is blended to handle arid , dry climates and is blended for best performance in summer climates that have little humidity. Mow Less will grow well in the cool wet winters of the Northwest. Mow-Less has a moderate nitrogen requirement, 3 - 4 lbs. of actual N per 1000 sq. ft. Planting & Establishment of Mow Less Tall Fescue Grass
Recommended Seeding Rates
New turf: 8-10 pounds per 1,000 square feet. -
350-400 pounds per acre
Overseeding: 4-5 lbs. per 1000 sq. ft.
Planting Dates: For best results, seed in late summer / early fall or spring. Late spring and summer plantings are typically not recommended in all but the coolest, most temperate summer climates.
Establishment & Maintenance
Germination: 8 - 12 days - Keep the seed bed uniformly moist during the first 3 weeks
Mowing: First mowing when new lawn reaches approximately 2". 'Mow-Less' thrives at a 1.5" to 2.5" cut.
Ready for Use: Full coverage in 6-8 weeks with limited use of the area can be expected in 8-10 weeks.
Irrigation: Best irrigated deep and infrequently during summer dry spells, Mow Less requires less frequent irrigation than perennial ryegrass and Kentucky bluegrass.
